What do you think would happen to the oceans and continents if the

Answers will vary. Sea levels would rise, causing coastal areas to flood. This would in
turn displace many people and ruin cropland in those areas. Many coastal cities would
be destroyed.



Answer to Question 2

Answers will vary. Melting ice sheets may cause several
changes, including sea-level rise, more water vapor in the
atmosphere, and saltwater moving into the groundwater
reservoirs in coastal areas.
