Answer to Question 1

Answer: Distinctive distributions of folk culture are evident across this mountain region, owing to topographic isolation and intervening obstacles of those trying to gain entry to the mountain range interior. Communities remained in relative isolation and thus cultures emerged that were distinctive from proximate areas. Further this area represents an intersection of 3 key religions, Islam, Buddhism and Hinduism which adds to the diversity of cultures in the region.

Answer to Question 2

Answer: Popular customs are invented; folk customs have anonymous source, unknown date, and unknown originator.
