Answer to Question 1

Water evaporates from the oceans and land surfaces, or is emitted to the atmosphere through transpiration from plants. Vapor condenses into clouds and returns to the surface through precipitation. Precipitation that falls on land eventually works its way back to the ocean through runoff or infiltration.
