Answer to Question 1

D

Answer to Question 2

Mount St. Helens erupted violently, blowing its top off at least 400 meters. The eruption ejected nearly a cubic kilometer of felsic ash and rock debris as well as causing mudflows that traveled 29 kilometers down the Toutle River. Kilauea volcano generates relatively quiet outpourings of fluid basaltic lava.
