Answer to Question 1

E

Answer to Question 2

Those who suggest that animism is threatened will note that ethnic minorities in remote areas are themselves threatened by expansion of majority populations into their traditional homelands. This is paralleled with the reduction in swidden practices. Those who suggest that animism will survive will note that people will protect their religion; however, as has been the case, historically, animism is often adopted to new ideas and practices. This latter condition would suggest that animism will continue, but in a syncretized (hybridized) variant.
