Answer to Question 1

South Asia's cities are increased rapidly, in part because of rural-to-urban migration. The cities offer the hope of economic and social betterment, as people are unable to make a living in the rural areas. However, unplanned and uncontrolled growth has led to severe strains on the city's infrastructure. Widespread homelessness, congestion, inadequate housing, power, sewage, and other problems have been the result.
