Wind is included along with gravity, water, and ice as an agent of erosion. In many national parks and other areas of natural beauty, statements are often made that credit wind with having sculpted the landscape.

Answer: Wind does not have the competence to move abrasive sediments and so cannot erode much higher off the ground than one meter, which is the range of saltating sand.
