Within the region, the most extensive reserves of oil are concentrated in Saudi Arabia, followed by Iran, Iraq, United Arab Emirates, and Kuwait. The most extensive reserves of natural gas are located in Iran and Qatar, with much smaller reserves found in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Algeria.
