Answer to Question 1

The skills of analyzing places and regions in the larger and smaller scale contexts of the individual and world (globallocal). In so far as most geographers use maps, they introduce another valuable tool and type of power into the development process.

Answer to Question 2

Vascular plants increase the partial pressure of CO2 in soils, allowing for faster weathering rates. This should lead to a speed-up of the drawdown of CO2 through carbonate deposition, and CO2 levels should subsequently decrease.
