Explain why a farmer today might prefer to work on a collective farm instead of being a small-time farmer who owns his own land.

Answers should mention risk, high expenses of equipment, and weak credit development.

Answer to Question 2

Some of the major issues include water pollution, air pollution, and deforestation. Some countries, such as Mexico, have introduced various programs to reduce vehicular emissions, thereby reducing air pollution. Countries such as Brazil have introduced policies in an attempt to limit deforestation.
