Describe the statistical, dynamic, and hybrid models of hurricane forecasting.

Answer to Question 1

Answer: Statistical models apply information on past hurricane tracks and use those tracks as predictors for current storms. Dynamical models take information on current atmospheric and sea surface conditions and apply the governing laws of physics to current data. Hybrid models combine elements of statistical and dynamical models.
