Answer to Question 1

Answer: Cumuliform clouds have substantial vertical development and occur when the air is absolutely or conditionally unstable. Vertical velocities within these clouds are commonly several meters per second, but they can achieve speeds well in excess of 50 m/sec (100 mph).
