Leading is the process of influencing people to work toward a common goal while motivating is the process of providing reasons for people to work in the best interests of an organization. Although both are important to the human resources of an organization, leading is primarily concerned with influencing employees while motivating is the process of providing reasons for people to work toward organizational goals.
