Answer to Question 1

False

Answer to Question 2

Consumerism consists of all activities undertaken to protect the rights of consumers. The three primary categories of the consumer movement include environmental protection, product performance and safety, and information disclosure. Before the 1930s, workers, consumers, and government had very little influence on business activities. Consumerism since the 1930s has shown consumers that they do have rights and can expect businesses to meet environmental, safety, as well as other expectations.
