Aquinass view on the relation between scientific explanations of the world and theological explanations was that
 
 

a. they were always in conflict.
  b. everything was the result of Gods activities, thus we do not need scientific explanations.
  c. they never could overlap, because science explains physical events, while theology concerns that which is nonphysical.
   d. the same physical event could be scientifically explained in terms of natural causes and in terms of Gods activities and purposes.
