Answer to Question 1

The Ediacaran fauna are the first multicelled organisms found in the fossil record. They are important
because they represent a transition faunal assemblage between generally life-poor Proterozoic and the
Paleozoic with its sudden appearance of many life forms. They may be the ancestors of some Early
Paleozoic organisms, or they may represent an early evolutionary development that died out.

Answer to Question 2

Eukaryotic cells have a cell nucleus, more advanced internal structures, and mostly reproduce sexually.
By the Mesoproterozoic, or even as early as 1.4 billion years ago, two or more prokaryotic cells
entered into a symbiotic relationship and eventually could only exist as a whole. The evolution of
eukaryotic cells allowed the evolution of multicelled organisms

When Gabriel Fahrenheit invented the first mercury thermometer, he called "zero degrees" the lowest temperature he was able to attain with a mixture of ice and salt. For the upper point of his scale, he used 96°, which he measured as normal human body temperature (we know it to be 98.6° today because of more accurate thermometers).
