Answer to Question 1

Glacial drift includes all sediment deposits resulting from glacial activity. It consists of two types. Till
includes all sediments deposited by glacial ice, and stratified drift is layered and probably accumulated
in braided stream channels. Glacial drift contains glacial erratic, which are large rocks that were
transported from a distant source and dumped by a glacier.

Answer to Question 2

Bedrock is eroded by abrasion, since the glaciers carry sediments at their base (this is like sandpaper
rubbing against the bedrock). Abrasion causes glacial polish, a smooth surface that glistens in reflected
light. Abrasion also leaves glacial striations, nearly straight scratches in the rock that point in the
direction the glacier went. Abrasion pulverizes rock and leaves behind rock flour
