Answer to Question 1

Stream gradient is the slope over which the stream flows, the vertical drop through which the stream
moves divided by the horizontal distance the water moves.



Answer to Question 2

With sheet flow, water moves in a more-or-less continuous film over the surface. With channel flow,
the runoff is confined to long, troughlike depressions.
