Answer to Question 1

Several good locations to meet people who are 75 or older are senior citizen centers, nursing homes, and churches, synagogues, and other religious institutions. One could volunteer to work with an organization that brings in cats or dogs to visit with individuals living in senior facilities. Asking a person in a friendly way about what life was like 50 years ago or more will generally elicit a great deal of information.

Answer to Question 2

People can participate in working toward a sustainable society through individual lifestyle changes, political involvement, membership and participation in nongovernmental environmental organizations, volunteer work, and making career choices that allow us to make an environmental change for the better.
