Trace the outline of a tectonic plate. What feature did you use to find the plate boundary?

What type of plate boundary exists along the east (right) margin of the diagram? How do you know? Please explain.

Answer to Question 1

Trace is the bold black line on the diagram above. The earthquake dots were used to find the plate boundary.

Answer to Question 2

The boundary is a subduction zone. The outlined plate (ocean side) is subducting under the continent on the right. I know this because the deep focused earthquakes are on the continental plate and these are formed by the subducting slab as it moves underneath the continent.
