Answer to Question 1

C

Answer to Question 2

Contact metamorphism is associated with heat from igneous intrusions, and produces non-foliated rocks. The highest grade of metamorphism is closest to the heat source.
Regional metamorphism is associated with mountain building and the nearly horizontal normal and shear stresses applied during convergence produces foliation.
