Answer: Porosity is the percentage of pore spaces found between sediment grains and in fractures, while permeability is the ability of a fluid to flow through porous material

Answer to Question 2

Answer: When water rises in a well or at a spring above the elevation of the water table, it is called an artesian discharge. Flowing wells and springs are the special case of artesian flows that rise on their own all of the way to the land surface.
