Answer to Question 1

ANS: B
Whatever the location, the victim's level of consciousness should be assessed quickly by check-ing for signs of life, for example, movement and normal breathing. The rescuer should call for help and activate the emergency medical services (EMS) system if the patient is not moving or breathing or only gasping.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: C
Check for lack of movement or response and no normal breathing or only gasping.
