ANS: D
Once the tube is in place, stabilize it with the right hand, and use the left hand to remove the laryngoscope and stylet. Then inflate the cuff to seal the airway and immediately provide venti-lation and oxygenation.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: D
With the exception of fiberoptic laryngoscopy, none of these methods can absolutely confirm proper tube placement.
