ANS: A
Given a stroke volume of approximately 40 ml, and an EDV of 70 ml, the ejection fraction can be calculated as follows:
EF = SV/EDV= 40 ml/70 ml = 0.57, or 57.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: B
Stroke volume = EDV  ESV.
