  a. are not separate entities  they must go hand-in-hand with the management plan providing the setting and support in which good instruction exists.
 
  b. can usually be separated, since some teachers are good managers and not good instructors and vice-versa.
 
  c. should not be considered as equal in importance because instructional practices result in good management practices.
 
  d. are different and distinct with their own philosophical tenets and philosophical beliefs.

Understanding classroom management challenges is a worthwhile beginning, but the ultimate goal must be to improve student behaviors. One way to attain this goal is:
 
  a. demand strict obedience and impose zero tolerance policies.
 
  b. for teachers to understand the classroom management theorists and models, and then select the ideas that work for them and develop a comprehensive classroom management plan.
 
  c. post a list of all rules (maybe 15-20) that the teacher wants obeyed  specific consequences should be listed beside each rule.
 
  d. rely on the principal's assistance and expertise on classroom management research and practice.
