Answer to Question 1

ANS: A
RH = (content AH)/capacity.
0.55 = x/18 mg H2O/L.
x = 10 mg H2O/L.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: B
If a nasal cannula is set to deliver more than 5 L/min, humidification will be necessary. A low-flow bubble humidifier humidifies the gas traveling to the patient through a nasal cannula with approximately 40 to 50 of the relative humidity at standard room temperatures. See Figure 6-4. The other options are not applicable.

Although the Roman numeral for the number 4 has always been taught to have been "IV," according to historians, the ancient Romans probably used "IIII" most of the time. This is partially backed up by the fact that early grandfather clocks displayed IIII for the number 4 instead of IV. Early clockmakers apparently thought that the IIII balanced out the VIII (used for the number 8) on the clock face and that it just looked better.

There used to be a metric calendar, as well as metric clocks. The metric calendar, or "French Republican Calendar" divided the year into 12 months, but each month was divided into three 10-day weeks. Each day had 10 decimal hours. Each hour had 100 decimal minutes. Due to lack of popularity, the metric clocks and calendars were ended in 1795, three years after they had been first marketed.

Drug abusers experience the following scenario: The pleasure given by their drug (or drugs) of choice is so strong that it is difficult to eradicate even after years of staying away from the substances involved. Certain triggers may cause a drug abuser to relapse. Research shows that long-term drug abuse results in significant changes in brain function that persist long after an individual stops using drugs. It is most important to realize that the same is true of not just illegal substances but alcohol and tobacco as well.
