ANS: A
Viruses have a nucleic acid core surrounded by a protein sheath; viruses range from 20 nm to 200 nm. They do not produce spores.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: D
Certain bacteria form endospores under adverse conditions such as dryness, heat, and poor nutri-tion. Bacteria do not undergo any of the other processes mentioned.
