Answer to Question 1

ANS: B
When considering the flow of a liquid through a tube, you should take two factors into consider-ation: the driving pressure forcing the fluid and the resistance the liquid must overcome as it flows. Reynolds suggested that fluid flow becomes turbulent when velocity is increased or when there are changes in fluid density or viscosity and the radius of the tube. The Venturi and Ber-noulli principles deal with the relationship between a liquid's forward velocity and tubular lat-eral-wall pressure.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: B
In laminar flow, the fluid flows in discrete cylindrical layers or streamlines. With turbulent flow, the movement of fluid becomes chaotic. Straight and aerodynamic are not terms that are used to describe the way fluid moves.
