Immediately perform hand hygiene. Forgetting the basic skill of hand hygiene could be lethal. The infection could be spread to people with lower immune systems and make them ill. This carelessness could also infect other people who are providing care. Understanding the chain of infection and methods of transmitting microbes is mandatory.
