Answer to Question 1

Hospice care is a special way of dealing with terminally ill
patients. Hospice patients generally have 6 months or less to live
and are cared for in their own homes or in homelike rooms in
hospitals and long-term care facilities.

Answer to Question 2

Nursing assistants can help meet the spiritual needs of a dying
patient by being courteous to clergy, respecting the customs and
rituals that differ from theirs, and handling religious objects as
they would other valuables.
