When moving a patient from a bed to a stretcher, lock both the
bed wheels and the stretcher wheels before transfer, lower the
head of the bed so that it is as flat as possible, raise the bed to
the same height as the stretcher, and cover the patient with a
blanket to prevent exposure during the transfer.
