Answer to Question 1

B
Feedback:
A growing field of employment for LPN/LVNs exists in the area of preapproval or reimbursement for healthcare. Health maintenance organizations, insurance companies, and other third-party payors train these nurses to research each client's healthcare needs to determine if the cost of a particular surgical or diagnostic test can be paid by their company. Telehealth is telephone nursing and nurses provide advice in the form of nurse lines. Nurses act as wellness coordinators when involved in occupational health. Parish nurses facilitate a congregation's holistic health, combining physical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions.

Answer to Question 2

C
Feedback:
The nurse should monitor the client for signs of urinary retention. Mild analgesics can be used to relieve minor discomfort. Packing the vagina with gauze can cause difficulty in voiding, so the gauze can be removed the day after the procedure. The initial vaginal discharge will be bloody and will gradually become serosanguineous after a few days.
