There are four main types of bloodA, B, AB, and Owhich comprise the ABO blood type (or blood group) system. Each of these four has a unique combination of antigens and antibodies. Type O does not have the A or B antigen, but does have the anti-A and the anti-B antibody. Type A has the A antigen and the anti-B antibody, type B has the B antigen and the anti-A antibody, Type AB has both A and B antigens, but does not have either the anti-A or the anti-B antibody.
