Answer to Question 1

B
Feedback:
Transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) is a type of prostatic biopsy that is performed through endoscopy. The endoscope is inserted through the urethra to the prostate, where a small tissue sample is removed. Nocturnal penile tumescence tests diagnose nocturnal erections. A surgical procedure is performed to remove a cancerous prostate. All men with ED, except those who have a specific known cause for their erectile dysfunction (e.g., diabetes or prostate surgery), need an evaluation of hormone levels; nocturnal rigidity measurement; or duplex Doppler ultrasonography to determine causes and identify treatment options.

Answer to Question 2

D
Feedback:
Echocardiography is useful in the diagnosis and differentiation of heart murmurs, congestive heart failure, and the amount of blood each ventricle ejects (pumps out) with every heart beat. An electrocardiogram (ECG) provides essential information about the heart, including rate, rhythm, and the presence of certain disorders. The purpose of the stress test is to assess the severity of symptomatic and asymptomatic (without symptoms) cardiac disease. The electrophysiology study (EPS) provides valuable information about the electrical activity of the heart by locating the source of a dysrhythmia.

There are major differences in the metabolism of morphine and the illegal drug heroin. Morphine mostly produces its CNS effects through m-receptors, and at k- and d-receptors. Heroin has a slight affinity for opiate receptors. Most of its actions are due to metabolism to active metabolites (6-acetylmorphine, morphine, and morphine-6-glucuronide).
