Answer to Question 1

D
Feedback:
Class II clients have increasing levels of systemic disturbance, and are undergoing class I-type procedures as in a client with mild diabetes undergoing tubal ligation. A client with dementia who is undergoing a limb amputation would be categorized as class III: severe psychosis rendering the client unable to care for him- or herself after surgery. A client who is undergoing a D&C and has no underlying conditions is considered class I and a client who is obese and is undergoing stent placement is considered class III because of the underlying organic disorder combined with the class III procedure.
