B
Feedback:
When initiating an IV line, the nurse should inspect the IV solution, to make sure there are no impurities, and unwrap it. Invert the bag and spike it with the IV tubing. The client should be in a low Fowler's position. The nurse should also prime the tubing and squeeze the drip chamber until it is half-full of IV fluid. When blood enters the venous access device, the nurse should advance the needle to almost its full length.
