Answer to Question 1

C
Feedback:
Laminectomy is a type of lumbar decompression that exposes the spinal canal and allows for relief of compression of the spinal cord and spinal nerve roots. A diskectomy procedure involves the removal of the herniated disk, thus relieving the pressure on the compressed nerves. Microdiskectomy is a procedure similar to diskectomy that is done to remove a herniation, wherein the surgeon makes a smaller incision and uses a microscope to help visualize the disk. Spinal fusion is the surgical method of strengthening weakened vertebrae by the attachment of a steel rod or by grafting a piece of bone (from the tibia or iliac crest or a donated bone) onto several vertebrae or between a vertebra and the sacrum.

Answer to Question 2

C
Feedback:
Generally, residual urine should not exceed 50 mL in the young or middle-aged person or 50 to 100 mL in the older adult.
