Answer to Question 1

C
Feedback:
A postpartum psychosis can be suspected if the woman exhibits manic-depressive behaviors, generally starting within the first 4 weeks after delivery. Postpartum psychosis occurs in less than 1 of the postpartum population. Initially, the symptoms may include irritability, restlessness, sleeplessness, agitation, and avoidance of the infant. The condition may progress to include incoherence, with delusions or hallucinations relating to the child or childbirth. The other options are milder versions of this disorder that generally do not involve thoughts of suicide or murder.

Answer to Question 2

B, C, D, F
Feedback:
Ginseng is contraindicated in clients who take antidepressants or other psychic medications, clients who are pregnant or on hormonal contraceptives, and clients who have diabetes.
