Answer to Question 1

D
Feedback:
Remember that Erikson focuses on the psychosocial challenges that individuals face in the various life stages. People must meet and master these challenges before moving successfully to the next stage. Adults face challenges as sets of positive versus negative outcomes. In early adulthood, people confront choices about their occupation, education, relationships, living environment, and independence. The correct order for the choices impacting early adulthood therefore is choosing a career, establishing adult relationships, starting a family, and reappraising commitments.

Answer to Question 2

D
Feedback:
Hormones (prolactin and oxytocin) stimulate mammary glands to produce and release milk after childbirth. The ovaries begin to secrete estrogens. The estrogens include estradiol, estriol, and estrone. After puberty, the corpus luteum of the ovary produces another hormone, progesterone, which functions primarily during pregnancy.

The disease often does not respond to conventionally successful treatments, and requires individualized therapies in order to keep it from becoming life-threatening.
