The intervention that will decrease test anxiety is to develop and follow a daily study schedule to review the content. Reviewing the test for rationales of questions missed will not help the student to prepare for the exam itself or decrease test anxiety. The nursing student needs to study the content that the faculty outlines in a study guide, or a test plan. Taking practice tests can be helpful in timing and helps to decrease test anxiety, but studying practice test rationales will not cover all the content contained in the actual examination.
