Answer to Question 1

D
As a result of the influence of the consumer wellness movement, federal policies and initiatives began incorporating self-care education for the general public.
A surge in wellness and fitness centers was not the direct result of the consumer wellness movement, although in recent years, fitness center membership has grown, especially among affluent individuals.
Market-based competition for health care services was not the direct result of the consumer wellness movement.
New categories of insurance were not the direct result of the consumer wellness movement.

Answer to Question 2

D
Information-literate professionals will know (or learn) how to use databases to search topics. CINAHL is a database that provides the most comprehensive coverage of nursing literature. The student will be able to combine terms to search for UTIs in nursing home residents. Using the librarian as a resource to assist is a good idea, but if the librarian does the search, the student will not learn this vital skill. The student should not start with lay sites such as Google. The textbook will have some information on UTIs and may include a section that includes nursing home residents, but for comprehensive data, the student will need to do a database search.
