Having an association with experienced nurses, such as faculty members or LPNs employed in various positions and who are members of professional organizations, is an effective way of networking. A network of others will assist the novice nurse through their experience, information, and opportunities.

Support systems will help you feel safe on the job. If you do not have these support systems, your second level on the hierarchy of needs is not being met, and you cannot advance up the pyramid.
