Answer to Question 1

D

Answer to Question 2

Some schools have turned to the use of letters to provide for greater flexibility in reporting student progress to parents (or guardians). Letters make it possible to report on the unique strengths, weaknesses, and learning needs of each student and to suggest specific plans for improvement. In addition, the letter/report can include as much detail as needed to make clear the student's progress in all areas of development. However, these letters should not be the sole method of grading and if used, should be combined with other methods such as letter grades.
