How many degrees rotation is necessary to image the zygapophyseal joints from a true lateral position?

located beneath the table but above the image receptor

Rationale: The ionization chamber is just one type of AEC. The ionization chamber is located beneath the table, but above the image receptor. When the predetermined quantity has occurred and measured by the electrometer, the exposure is terminated.

Answer to Question 2

20 degrees

Rationale: From a true lateral t-spine, the patient is rotated 20 degrees anterior or posterior to form a 70 degree oblique to image the zygapophyseal joints.
