the dorsum sellae is projected within the foramen magnum

Rationale: A properly positioned AP axial Townes method is demonstrated when the dorsum sellae is projected within the foramen magnum. Correct positioning of the OML/IOML must be matched with the correct caudal tube angle 30/37 degrees in order to project the dorsum sellae within the foramen magnum.
