posterior rib margin

Rationale: Rotation is determined by examining the posterior rib margin. If rotation is present, the acceptable distance between the posterior rib margins is 1/2 inch or 1 cm.

Answer to Question 2

1 mm

Rationale: 0.25 mm lead equivalency is recommended with kVp values less than 100 . 0.50 mm lead equivalent with kVp 100-150 and 1.0 mm lead equivalent with kVp greater than 150.
