Answer to Question 1

proper density

Rationale: AEC is designed to ensure proper density for a part is achieved. kVp is selected along with the cell according to part coverage is selected. The exposure is terminated when optimal density is reached.

Answer to Question 2

AP

Rationale: A patient lying on his right side with a horizontal beam describes a right lateral decubitus position. Projection describes how the beam passes through the part. If the patient is facing the tube, the projection would pass through the part AP.
