Answer to Question 1

focal spot size

Rationale: There are two focal spot sizes to choose from. Small focal spots are most ideal and result in sharper recorded detail, but with increased mAs values, increased heat production will result, therefore a larger focal spot should be selected.

Answer to Question 2

15 degrees cephalic

Rationale: 15 degrees cephalic is usually needed to position the tube allowing the patient to stand.
