Answer to Question 1

decrease kVp

Rationale: Pneumothorax is an abnormal amount of air in the pleural cavity. When it becomes large in size, it is classified as a destructive pathology. A decrease in technical settings will help prevent overexposure.

Answer to Question 2

inferior nasal conchae

Rationale: The inferior nasal conchae are considered separate facial bones, but function to warm and filter the incoming air like the superior and middle nasal conchae on the ethmoid bone.
